The headsize at 105 square inches, being larger than average, enhances the overall comfort with a larger sweet spot plus an increase in the "trampoline effect" that results in additional power potential. Coupled with the headsize, the open string pattern has a lively feel with easier access to spin. The weight being light at 9.5 ounces (unstrung) favours enhanced manoeuvrability granting easier general movement for comfortable net-play, serves and efficient return strokes. The open string pattern will increase the pop off the string bed for a relative increase in power potential, provide a bit more comfort as well as enable easier access to spin. HEAD's Auxetic 2.0 technology has been added to the 2024 Speed series for an updated softer feel, improving on an already sensational feel. HEAD has partnered with Berlac, a premium Swiss lacquer manufacturer, to implement a surface that feels softer to the touch while being robust, durable and chemically resistant.
